Over the course of her thirty-three-year career, Bertha Todd served the students of Wilmington first as a librarian and then as a school administrator. During that time she worked actively for the peaceful integration of New Hanover County Schools. After retiring from Hoggard High School in 1985, she continued to work towards racial reconciliation through her active leadership in the 1898 Centennial Foundation. Join us in the Special Collections Reading Room on the Second Floor of Randall Library as Bertha discusses collections in the Center for Southeast North Carolina Archives and History that illustrate her amazing life and career.
